Stanitsa Nikolskaya Church Hall Renovations

Cossacks of Stanitsa Nikoskaya and from New Jersey gathered together to begin renovation work on the Church hall. This renovation is extremely important as the 6th Annual Cossack Congress in America is set to take place in the Stanitsa. Vice Ataman Dimitry Bagaydin of the Stanitsa expressed the importance that all Cossacks participate in the renovation, especially when more help will become needed very soon. We remind everyone that the Stanitsa will hold its administrative Krug on June 14, 2015 following divine liturgy.

Lienz Massacre and Forced Repatriation of Cossacks May 29th - June 1st

During the Russia revolution, Cossacks were one of the major ethnicity that composed the white movement to fight against the Bolsheviks. However, when the Cossacks were faced with decossackization, many were forced to leave, and those who were left behind suffered terribly from continued repression. That is why during World War II, many Cossacks saw an opportunity to free their homelands from the occupation of the Bolsheviks, and joined sides with Nazi Germany. As unfortunate their fate, at the time the Cossacks believed they were doing what was best for their homeland.

President Ronald Reagan award to Dr. Wassily Glasgow

Dr. Wassily Glasgow was the Ataman of the Cossack-American Citizens Committee in the approximately 1970s-1990s. Throughout his time, Glasgow was able to put together a Cossack organization consisting of approximately ten thousand Cossack Americans, and was involved in numerous publication entitled Free Cossackia. His job was to preserve the history and heritage of the Cossack People, as well as fight for the return of the Cossack Republics. Dr. Glasgow was also very close in communicating with political members of the United States, including President Ronald Reagan. Dr.

Vladimir Boldirev to represent the Cossack Congress in America in Lienz Austria

June 1st will mark the 70th year anniversary of the Cossack massacre in Lienz. On this occasion, the Cossacks who will gather in Lienz, Austria, along with the participation of the Austrian government, will open the Cossack Chapel which has been constructed earlier this year, in memory of all Cossacks who were murdered in this tragic event. The Atamans Council has delegated and accepted that Vladimir Boldirev, to attend the events in Lienz Austria, and represent the Cossack Congress in America.

Open letter of the Cossack Congress in America

It has come to our attention that on April 28th, 2015, Ministry of Foreign affairs of the Russian Federation held a meeting with the Cossack political party of the Russian Federation where there were mentioned members of Cossack leadership from the United States of America to be present. In order to clear any misunderstandings, and to avoid future confusion, we would like to inform the public, that the people present at the meeting are not representing Cossacks of North America, but rather their own individual selves and interests.

Easter Celebration in Stanitsa in the Name of Ataman Kaledina

On April 25th, 2015 the Cossacks of the all Cossack Stanitsa in the Name of Ataman Kaledin, Montreal, Canada held a celebratory Easter dinner. The Dinner was attended by Cossacks of the Stanitsa, Ataman of the Cossack Congress in America Iegor Brun de Saint Hippolyte, and by Vice Ataman of the Cossack Congress in America for the territory of Canada Ruslan Dimitrov.

Small Congress of the Cossack Congress in America has concluded!

The Small Congress has concluded on May 2nd, 2015. While the Small Congress marks the half way point in the working year, it is also the moment when all Cossacks review the current progress of the administration and provide any valuable feedback they see fit. In addition, the Cossacks vote on the location of the next annual Cossack Congress in America. Therefore we are happy to announce the 6th Annual Cossack Congress in America for 2015 will be held in Stanitsa Nikolskaya, Chester, Pennsylvania.

Memorial Meeting on the Elbe in Oregon State

The Secretary of the Cossack Congress in America for the West Coast of the U.S. Yuri Antonov, attended the commemoration of Elbe day. Elbe day commemorates when on April 25, 1945 the US troops met with the Soviet solders in World War II outside of Torgau Germany, which marked an important step towards the end of World War II and Nazi Germany. Many Cossacks died in World War II on both sides of the front, and therefor, Secretary Yuri Antonov attend the commemoration and spent some time with the Veterans of both US and Russian Veterans. The commemoration was also attended by Mayor Beaverton.

Vice Ataman of the Cossack Congress in America attened the Easter Celebration Dinner in New York City

Vice Ataman of the Cossack Congress in America for the territory of the United States of America Alexey Bocharnikov attended the Easter Celebration Dinner in the Russian Federation Consulate in New York City, New York. Vice Ataman Alexey shared the resurrection of Christ our Savior, and bright Pasha with the Bishop of the patriarchal parishes in the United States, and congratulated him from all of the Cossacks of the Cossack Congress in America.
