4th Cossack Congress in America (Montreal, Canada)


The 4th Cossack Congress in America took place in the All-Cossack Stanitsa named after Ataman Kaledina, Montreal, Canada on November 30th, 2013. The Congress greeted representatives who came from far places of Canada, United States, and even Europe. New to the Congress where delegates from Calgary, Germany, and France.
The 4th Congress began with a prayer and a blessing from the Priest. Afterwards, greeting letters from various organizations were read. A greeting letter from the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes of The Russian Orthodox Church in America Archbishop Justinian, was also read. The Cossack Congress reviewed its performance of the previous year, followed by the elections and discussions for it’s new year. Congratulations to Iegor De Saint Hippolyte, who was elected Ataman of the Cossack Congress in America. The Congress also decided to expand its council, by electing more secretaries. The Congress separately noted the achievements of Alexey Kaganzev (Ataman of the Cossack Congress in America 2011-2013) and thanked him greatly.
After the Conclusion of the Cossack Congress in America, the Cossacks continued their conversations behind the table of a greatly prepared Cossack dinner.
